Select the needle type that is appropriate for the embroidery job being run on the machine. Different fabrics and threads will determine what needle type is used.
Here are some general guidelines:
Ball point needles are commonly used on knits.
Sharp or Normal point needles are sharper than the ball points and are generally used on woven goods, such as caps or bags.
Teflon needles have less friction and heating, and are therefore a good choice for coated fabrics.
