By selecting Show Grid, a framework of evenly spaced vertical and horizontal gray (default color) lines will be displayed behind the design in the View Window. The default setting for the spacing of the grid is .5 inches. All default settings can be changed by right-clicking over the tool and entering the properties menu. You can find the Show Grid function in two locations: the toolbar button or under the View Menu.
