Skipped Stitches

Use the following troubleshooting table if you are encountering skipped stitches in your embroidery.

Problem Area	Possible Causes	Solutions
Needles	Needle is bent or damaged	Replace with a compatible needle
Needles	Incorrect needle for the thread size being used	Replace with a compatible needle
Needle depth	Needle bar lowest dead point is incorrect	Adjust needle depth (See Needle Depth Adjustment).
Rotary hook	Hook timing is incorrect	Adjust hook timing (See Hook Timing Adjustment).
Rotary hook	Hook gap is too wide	Adjust hook timing gap (Hook Timing Adjustment).
	Damaged/ bad hook	Replace hook (Click here for instructions).
Presser foot	A weak or broken presser foot spring prevents the presser foot from lifting out of the fabric smoothly The presser foot height may not be adjusted correctly	Replace the spring (Contact Melco Technical Support) Check Presser Foot Height
Thread	Bad thread	Use the appropriate thread or consult Melco Csutomer Service for suggestions.
Thread feed roller	Thread wore a groove in the roller	Replace thread feed roller. Click here for instructions.
