Registration Issues

You can perform a registration test to determine if your machine is experiencing problems with registration.  See the AMAYA Technical Manual, Registration Test, for instructions on performing this test.  Use the following table to troubleshoot if you determine from the test that your machine is experiencing problems with registration.

Possible Causes

Solution

Hoop arms are not securely attached to the machine

Tighten screws attaching hoop arms

Clips on hoops arms are not securely attached

Tighten screws attaching clips to hoop arms

Improper hooping

See Hooping for instructions on how to hoop correctly

Inadequate lubrication of X rails and/or Y rails

Lubricate X-rails

Lubricate Y-rails

Incorrect X-cable, Y-axis timing belt and Z drive belt tensioning

Check belt tensioning (in the AMAYA Technical Manual, see , ,

NOTE: The X-cable tension must be within specifications. If it is not within specifications, there will be an audible resonance indicating that the X-cable is out of tension specification. Call Melco Technical Support to get instructions on how to set the proper cable tensions.
