Needle is too small for fabric

Replace with compatible needle (See Choosing a Needle)

When sewing caps, using flat needle plate instead of raised needle plate may cause needle breaks

Install the raised needle plate

Needle strikes the needle plate

The optical sensor in the lower portion of the needle case assembly needs to be adjusted.  Contact Melco Technical Support
