Figure 1 - Melco Test Design AMPASSXXX
Note: Reference to the test design dash level will not be specified in this manual. Instead the design name will refer to the latest available revision of the test design indicated by " XXX" at the end of the design name. |
The AMPASSXXX is the official factory "go/no go" design that is used to test all machines before they are shipped to customers. The use of this design to help in diagnostics and troubleshooting is recommended because it allows you to test under known design conditions without having digitizing conflicts involved in the trouble shooting.
This design produces more information when sewn on white broad cloth (Melco PN: 344754-01) (or any white polyester material) and one layer of backing (ARC PN: C20162210). The use of a white colored fabric is important so that the thread contrasts against the white and makes defects in the sew patterns more visible. Avoid the use of white or similar colored threads, as they will blend in to the bobbin thread making it difficult to detect problems.
This design has been broken down into individual components that are available as a separate design as indicated: (click on the separate design name to view the design or to get specifications)

It is important that the appropriate tests are run on the machine after all major repairs or adjustments. These tests validate repairs and adjustments made to the AMAYA and help to identify whether repairs and adjustments were successful.
All AMAYA test designs by default are installed at c:\program files\melco embroidery systems\amaya\test designs on the computer that runs the machines. In computers with multiple hard drives, the path may be different.
